this little piggy

had been sitting around for a while. and i finally got around to finishing him up.

it is based on a pattern in a book the title of which escapes me - found at our public library. it used up some of an old sheet i was given and a seemingly endless supply of linen we have kicking around. and it has been named petunia.

piggy

more pics here and here.

thanks for all the comments yesterday. sometimes i feel like i am the only one. now i don't. it is greatly appreciated!

Very nice. My handwork continues to be put to shame.

"Seemingly endless supply of linen"?!? What a nice problem to have :)

  2. thanks melissa!

it is a nice problem. a perk of my husband's job. we get a lot of discards. 2 almost full rolls of linen currently sitting at the end of our bed!

Very cute! Looks like you're great at softies.

BTW, I think I found a softie pattern for our little swap. :)

  4. if you ever want to trade that linen for something else, let me know!!

i love this pig! the raw edges at the snout are great. i have a pig that is remarkably similar waiting to be stuffed (it's also linen with raw edges).

  10. Tracy! I love, love, love your piglet! I've got to say, one of my favorite softies I've seen in awhile. I love the look of the linen with the raw edges. it is adorable.
Would you be interested in swapping for some of your linen? I was just looking for some on ebay...
I could swap stoneware buttons, pendants in my etsy shop, ribbon (from the outlet)...let me know. I'd love to swap!
