trying to establish a courtyard feel - and provide the front of the house with a bit more privacy. (another view here.)
it ties in with the fence d put in front of the carport.
playing a lot of catch-up this week. hope to be working in the garden all weekend long...
enjoy yours!
Your home is gorgeous. You must be having so much fun renovating -the original house has such "good bones".
ReplyDeleteAll of your interventions really seem to compliment the original while still standing out as fresh and modern.
I love this type of fence...
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful fence!! What kind of wood did you'll use?
ReplyDeletethanks all! d used sustainable redwood.
ReplyDeleted does it again! i hope your gardening dreams are coming true this weekend.
ReplyDeletereally beautiful, I love the mobile too (is that what it is?).
ReplyDeleteHope you got your hands dirty all weekend!
as martha said, this can only serve to make your house that much more beautiful!
ReplyDeleteso peaceful looking. we've got that mobile too, isn't it great?
ReplyDeleteI think this is the third time I've done a screen shot of your fences. I'm simply obsessed with their horizontal, modern vibe. I must have horizontal fences. Where did you get the metal fence posts and were they hard to construct?
ReplyDeletethanks all.
ReplyDeleteblair - the mobile is from ikea
amy - the aluminium posts are from home depot, but you should be able to get them from any lumberyard or fencing distributor. it was somewhat labour intensive, but not difficult. (oh - the redwood is attached with sp. alumumium screws - i believe that this is important!)
i love it!
ReplyDeleteand that mobile is great
(no doubt that it's one of your many fantasic creations)
oops amy. i stand corrected. d just informed me that he misunderstood my query - and that these posts came from a place called "Industrial Metals" and not the depot. sorry!
