recap

IAE conference 10/2017

a group photo

while many of the rules and regulations around artists' estates vary greatly between the U.S.A. and Europe, the philosophical issues are universal. this workshop provided the opportunity to discuss circumstances that arise when you are dealing with the very personal and at the same time the very public. from archives to artwork. from inventory to exhibition. to legacy.

I am grateful that this group has become a community I will be connecting with again. that sounding board is important to me, working alone in my little backyard office.

and now back to "real life".

IAE conference 10/2017

I'm in London for a workshop organized by the Institute for Artists' Estates. Very much looking forward to the opportunity to hear from some of the top people in this "industry" - as well as to visit some amazing artists' physical estates and talk about the more esoteric issues around the work I do.

#LondonCalling

I was thrilled to be a small part of this exhibition which opens to the public tomorrow. culled mainly from the Tate, and some significant local collections, the exhibition focuses on six of the "School of London" painters who were working against the fashionable minimalism of their time, by focusing on the figurative.

we all got dressed up and headed up to the opening tonight. (and who doesn't love a summer night at the getty?)
