or
because i was tired of luke-warm coffee...
d is up at 5:30 each morning. the girls and i follow at 6:30 - as he heads out the door. (we leave the house by 7:40 for our walk to school.) he is sweet enough to leave me a cup of coffee in the press, but by the time it makes it to my favourite mug, it is cooler than i like it.
voila.
a lot like this.
bits of fabric are from stephanie. and buttons from melissa. (thanks again!)

i like it. i also like how d knows how to use it/make coffee. paul made me some last weekend, and it was so sweet, but, um, not that good.
i love it! it will make all the difference, i think.
also, i am jealous about the chickens (i haven't had chickens in 15 years, but one important thing is to keep them safe from predators at night).
snail mail coming soon...
Ooo... collaborative sewing effort. Yay for hot coffee (my Chemex presents the same issue, I have been thinking about knitting something along the lines of a cozy)>
Lovely!
I love it! It makes me want to go out and buy a more legit coffee press than the one I have.
This is just so adorably cute. Wouldn't this be a nice housewarming gift, a coffee press with a cozy.
really, really cute!
well done!
Love it. And your back splash too.
wonderful tracy! it is fabulous!
That is awesome
I totally need to make one of these. nothing worse than lukewarm coffee in the a.m.!
great idea, those things cool down way too fast! love the look!
I'm a coffee drinker so I can certainly appreciate this! :)
By the way, this is the first time I visit your blog. You do lovely work!
more great tiles...
nice coffee cozy too.
nice!
What a cute (and clever) cozy! I often have the french press vs warm pot debate but had never thought of a cozy. I may have to make one now too!
