completely proved the notion that there is really
no such thing as a truely vegetarian-fed-free-range chicken. no matter how hard we try.
she is always chasing bugs in the garden. but today. today she caught a mouse. a teeny tiny mouse. and as e and i tried to get it from her she turned and swallowed it in one quick gulp.
nice.
best part. my girl squealed. not with fear or disgust. but with mousing admiration for her chicken.

Ooh, I need a chicken around here I guess! We just spied a mouse scurrying across the garage floor not an hour ago.
GO MISS CHICK-A-DEE! (She makes better cat than Thomas, that's for sure.)
I always feel a huge amount of pride in Cleo, my little house cat, when she steps up and gets that mousie. One a year, every fall, in the walls. Rufus on the other hand... *cough* useless...
wonder what the eggs will taste like now....
yes!
Cutie! Are those new glasses?
oh wow! for the chicken and for the fabulous girl!
