we spent yesterday with dear friends, on their boat. the plan was to travel to santa cruz island and spend the day exploring, but the waves were too rough to go ashore so we spent an amazing day gazing at the beauty of the island while hanging on deck - and swimming in the deep blue sea. perfect.

i love the economy of space on boats. they seem to have everything you would need at just the right size, and in just the right place. spots to sit, wash, store, cook, prepare, relax. looks like a lovely day.
