this post some sewing - really
my latest stuffie foray.
and proof that i am still finding a bit of time to sew. this summer has flown by. little hot doggie has been sitting around the whole time waiting for legs. and a tail.
this morning the big bug picked him up and told me "it's ok mom. it doesn't really look like a dog. but it's ok. i can tell you've tried your best."
i guess all those pep talks i have been giving her have been sinking in!

how sweet is that story. i love it when kids are willing to reciprocate the pep talks. i am sure it truly looks like a lovely dog...
I imagine without legs or tail he might look like an adorable linen hot dog with ears. My daughter occasionally says to me, "Mommy, I'm so proud of you." I think it's hysterical when you hear your words coming out of their mouths.
it's ok tracy, sometimes softies never get legs, but you certainly tried your best. he is pretty cute anyway, and who knows what you can accomplish with that kind of support!
cute pup. would like to scratch it behind its ears! love the linen? fabric you made it from
Gorgeous photos these past two posts! Hope the sewing has been simplifying and therapeutic... I know that kind of work always is for me.
it's beautiful as-is! love the story.
I agree with Steph, and her story and pep talk make this little guy even more special. I melt when wisdom like that comes out of my kid's mouths.
how sweet is that: i can tell you tried your best.... man. did you just melt??
i can tell that's one cute doggie. i heart your softies tracy! xo shari
That doggy is cute, and now he has a great story -- even better.
I've been wanting to make a hot doggy for some friends that have a hot-dog dog and are expecting a baby. We'll see if I get around to it!
thanks everybody!
yes bekka, he is linen
and yes i melted!
hopefully legs and tail will get going this weekend. so i'll call this a wip as well and wish all a happy weekend. see you monday...
I think hotdoggie is adorable...love the linen. And Miss E's pep talk is so sweet.
i love the things our children tell us. you're obviously doing something right to be hearing such lovely words of encouragement.
I think hotdog is perfect! love the nose.
