Corners of Our Home 20 (and WIP a day early)

master.bath

progress has been made from where it was. but it still seems to be moving so slow. we (ok, d really) are doing the work ourselves. with cooler temps on the way it will be much easier to finish the mudding. and get that tile up!

right now we are bathing using the new tub and an impromptu one-faucet set-up that requires the hotwater tank to be adjusted to the desired temperature before filling... most of us don't mind the extra work at all!

i'll use this as a double post - knocking out Corners of Our Home thursday and WIP friday in one blow. (there is a bit of craft in a remodel, no?!) have a lovely weekend!

ahhh...home improvement projects! they can just creep along. as the wife of a former carpenter, I can tell you that it took putting our house on the market for my husband to finally finish tiling the rest of our shower! (but i guess if you remodel all day you dont' feel like doing it some more when you get home)...
looks like a lot of fun in that bathtub anyway!

How funny, we have that little blue stool in our bathroom with the blue glass mosaic tile too. I know you don't have the tile up yet but I'm imagining it there.

ah yes, very familiar...

It will be worth it!

Such discipline to keep that wall board dry! You must have good girls. Good luck on the WIP - that is a big one, craft or no craft.

Ooh, that is going to be so nice when it's done -- I can tell! I love the tile you picked.

I thought about posting our bathroom as my WIP, too. But we're just doing some painting and repairs to get us through until we can afford a real remodel. I already have my mosaic tile all planned out for the someday remodel...

no kidding! how in the world do you keep those walls dry? i think eliot and collette cover just about every surface in the bathroom with water! cant wait to see the after pics. all this remodeling is giving me an itch i dont think i can scratch!

that tile set to go in the bathroom is almost (almost) as cute as your little one in the tub.

thanks everybody!

it is a challenge to keep the wallboard dry. we have been only somewhat successful. to their credit the girls are very very good. it has been me that has done the most splashing! thankfully it is cement and not drywall so it is a little more forgiving...
