wrong note

do you ever have the exact image of how you want something to happen and then it doesn't even come close?

happened last night.

guitar.shirt

i put it back into my work pile only to have the big bug bring it to my attention at 630 this a.m. to tell me that she wanted her sister to wear it today. thankfully* it is 100 degrees here and i told her that it was more of a sundress kind of day.

will try try again tonight...

*and i am never ever thankful that it is 100 degrees!

my 6:30am was a demand for pancakes with chocolate chips...I think I got the better deal!
(it still looks cute to me, but I definitely know that feeling, when what's in your head doesn't come out at the sewing machine!)

Yes, that happens a lot. I get way too specific with the images in my head. I think the shirt looks really cute though!

From where I'm standing the guitar applique looks fabulous! After seeing the guitar shirt in the mini Boden catalog, Big J has requested I make one for him. Wish me luck!

oh, it happens to me all the time! i can totally sympathize (though i think the shirt is cute). :)

it's so hot here too. i'm dreaming of fall and i think i'm becoming less and less tolerant of the heat!

take care tracy! xo shari

well, here's wishing you guys some long-sleeve weather soon!

i also think it looks cute, but i do sympathize with the feeling that it's not matching your vision.

okay, explain to me...whats wrong with it? i think it rawks (pun intended).

one of these days, i will give this a whirl. both of my kiddos would love to sport stuff like this.

so get it outta your work pile and have your lil one wear it with pride :)

such is my life. the divide between in-the-brain and how it manifests in the real world. yours is lovely though. maybe it's not up to your standards, but the rest of us think it's wonderful.
